An article published in ACS Nano the self-assembly of TiO2-graphene hybrid nanostructures is now in the journal's list of "most downloaded" articles for the past 12 months. The research, done at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in collaboration with Prof. Ilhan Aksay, describes the stabilization of graphene in suspension and its subsequent decoration by in situ grown nanoparticles of TiO2. The hybrid material showsn significantly enhanced Li-ion insertion and extraction, doubled the specific capacity of pure TiO2.
