Research Statement |
| Professor Brinson's research interests lie in the study of advanced material systems including high performance composites and intelligent materials, and developing new methods to characterize and to model material behavior. Current research investigations involve studies of aging in polymeric based systems, nanomechanics of nano-reinforced polymers, characterization of titanium foams for bone implants, and experiments and modeling of shape memory alloys. Investigations span the range of molecular interactions, micromechanics and macroscale behavior. Projects encompass analytical, numerical and experimental techniques. |
